Boxer Satish Kumar settles for silver in CWG

Gold Coast, Apr 14 (IBNS): Satish Kumar, Indian boxer, settled for silver in the 91 plus kg category of the Commonwealth Games here on Saturday.

He was defeated by Frazer Clarke of England in the final match.

Kumar lost 5-0 in the match.

This was India's 59 th medal in the tournament.

Indian pugilist Vikas Krishan added one more gold medal to India's Commonwealth Games tally as he defeated Cameroon's Dieudonne Wilfried Seyi Ntsengue in the 75 kg category.

The Indian boxer defeated his opponent 5-0 in the final clash.

Mary Kom, Gaurav Solanki, Sanjeev Rajput, Neeraj Chopra, Sumit Malik, Vinesh Phogat, Manika Batra and Vikas Krishan have taken the total count of gold medal to 25.

India currently stands at the third spot behind Australia and England.

Apart from 25 golds, India had won 16 silver and 18 bronze medals so far.

Australia tops the cart with 72 gold medals.
