Bollywood celebrities congratulate MC Mary Kom over her CWG gold victory

Mumbai, Apr 14 (IBNS): Bollywood celebrities joined in congratulating India's boxing icon MC Mary Kom over her Commonwealth Games gold victory.

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur called the boxer as a superwoman.

"#MaryKom ..you are unstoppable. A superwoman," Shekhar Kapur tweeted.

Diana Penty said: "#MaryKom packs a punch once again as she bags a gold at #CWG2018! So proud @MangteC,"

Actress Neha Dhupia tweeted: "#MaryKom ... #mother #legend #champion #inspiration #woman ."

Superstar Akshay Kumar remarked: "The first Indian woman to win a boxing GOLD at the #GC2018, heartiest congratulations to Mary Kom! You go girl  ."

Maintaining her strong form in the 48 kg Boxing event of the Commonwealth Games, Indian boxer MC Mary Kom won a gold medal on Saturday.

This was India's 18th gold medal in the event.

She defeated Kristina O Hara to clinch gold.
