Pacer Mohammed Siraj put up a strong show as he scalped six wickets to help India bundle up Sri Lanka for 50 runs in the final of the Asia Cup in Colombo on Sunday.

Siraj gave away just 21 runs in his seven-over spell to destroy the opposition lineup.

Apart from Siraj. Hardik Pandya picked up three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah scalped one wicket to blow away the Sri Lankan side that surrendered in the final despite putting up strong show in the group stage of the tournament.

Sri Lanka had won the toss and opted to bat first in a rain-hit match that had a delayed start.

Kusal Mendis (17) and Dushan Hemantha (13) were the only two batsmen who reached the double score mark.

India came back stronger in the match after a surprise defeat against Bangladesh in their last group-stage match.

Asia Cup emerged as a good platform for the Asian sides to test their bench strength ahead of the crucial World Cup.
