Argentina beat India 5-0 in Rio women's hockey clash

Rio, Aug 13 (IBNS): Indian women hockey team failed to qualify for the quater-finals of the ongoing Rio after they were defeated in a group match by Argentina.

Argentina defeated the Asian side 5-0.

This was India's fourth consecutive defeat in the Pool B matches.

Martina Cavallero (16th and 29th minutes), Maria Granatto (23rd), Carla Rebecchi (26th) and Agustina Albertarrio (27th)  for the muchy-high-ranked Argentina side who also needed to win this match.

United States, Britain, Australia and Argentina reached the next round while Indian team will return empty handed.
