Kabul, May 11 (IBNS): Afghanistan is all set to host  three-match Twenty/20 series against Bangladesh in north Indian city of Dehradun next month, media reports said.

The three matches of the series will be played on June 3, 5 and 7 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The matches will be played on a day-night fixture.

Confirming the news, ACB chairman Atif Mashal told Pajhwok Afghan news: "ACB is delighted to host Bangladesh for the T20I series in Dehradun in early June which will be a good opportunity for both sides to play competitive cricket.”

Afghanistan will play their first Test match against India in Bangalore from June 14-18.

Afghanistan were granted Test status with Ireland.

Ajinkya Rahane will be leading the team in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli will be playing for English county side Surrey during that period.
