AB De Villiers replaces Sourav Ganguly, becomes the fastest to reach 8000 ODI runs

Durban, Aug 26 (IBNS) South Africa's AB De Villiers already owns a host of cricketing records and on Wednesday while playing against New Zealand in the ongoing 3rd ODI in Durban, he rushed past ex-Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly to became the fastest player to complete 8000 ODI runs.

While Ganguly took 208 ODI matches and 200 innings to complete 8000 runs, the current record holder, De Villiers did it in 190 matches as he played 182 innings.

He currently has 8045 ODI runs.
