Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy and yesteryear Bollywood sex symbol Zeenat Aman on Friday launched the new music album of Usha Uthup, 'Memories', at the KLF auditorium in Kolkata's book fair area on the Milan Mela ground.

The audio CD, containing eight new songs, has been released by Asha Audio Company.

The director of Asha Audio Company Mahua Lahiri  also joined the event.

This music album is a collection of eight Bengali modern songs by Usha Uthup which is a rare musical tribute to the  composer R.D. Barman. Utpal and Sreeraj Mitra have given the lyrics and Munna Raj has composed the songs.

Zeenat Aman said, "I am indeed happy that KLF has decided to host an event in R.D. Barman's remembrance and I truly appreciate Publisher and Book Sellers Guild's gesture of inviting me here today. I also wish 'Memories' a grand success."

"I wish the 'Memories' team all the best for their effort and endeavour," launching the audio CD, Ramesh Sippy said.
