Urmila Matondkar files for divorce from husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress-politician Urmila Matondkar has filed for divorce from husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir eight years after the two tied the knot, media reports said.

A report by The Indian Express claimed Urmila filed for divorce in Bandra, Mumbai four months ago.

They haven't headed for a mutual separation.

The reason for the separation is not known yet.

Urmila got married to Mohsin, a Kashmir-based businessman and model, on March 3, 2016.

The actress is known for films like Narsimha, Rangeela, Judaai, Dillagi, Khoobsurat, Om Jai Jagdish, Judai.

Urmila joined the Congress ahead of Lok Sabha elections in 2019 and quit the grand old party the same year. She then switched to Shiv Sena in December 2020.
