Trailer of Brett Lee-Tannishtha Chatterjee starrer Australian film unINDIAN released
unINDIAN, the cross-cultural comedy, starring Brett Lee and well known international actress Tannishtha Chatterjee is directed by Anupam Sharma and was filmed in Sydney earlier this year and is the first production of the Australia India Film Fund (AIFF).
The film's trailer has resulted in a tremendous buzz in the industry. Though the release date is yet to be announced for India, the distributors are bidding for the Indian theatrical and ancillary rights along with soundtrack which has been composed by Salim Sulaiman from India with Amanda Brown in Australia.
The film makers are planning a big release of the soundtrack along with announcing the Indian distributors at a Bollywood style party to be hosted by Brett Lee and Australia India Film Fund in Mumbai, with major Bollywood stars that are friends/fans of Brett lee on the guest list.
International Sales & Marketing Consultant, Kathleen Drumm, who is a former senior executive at Screen Australia and has spear-headed delegations and interactions with the Indian industry via the Goa Film Bazaar and Ficci Frames in Mumbai, said “unINDIAN has remarkable potential in the Indian market to reach a broad, upwardly mobile audience of men and women. It offers an international perspective while speaking to their cultural experience in a rich and entertaining way."
unINDIAN is an Australian romantic comedy that follows the chequered path of Aussie bloke Will as he attempts to woo the gorgeous Indian woman Meera who lives in Sydney with her daughter.
Presented by Devendra Gupta and directed by Anupam Sharma, unINDIAN was written by Thushy Sathi, produced by Anupam Sharma and Lisa Duff (Last Cab To Darwin), executive produced by Devendra Gupta and Chandru Tolani, filmed byMartin McGrath ACS (Muriel’s Wedding, Killing Time) and edited by Academy Award®nominated Marcus D’Arcy (Lorenzo’s Oil, Babe), with support from Screen Australia, the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, as well asUNSW Australia (the University of New South Wales), Guvera Music and Cochlear Ltd.
