The Jungle Book collects Rs 179 cr in India

Mumbai, May 16 (IBNS): Hollywood movie The Jungle Book has earned around Rs 179 crore at the Indian Box Office since its release.

Fim critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#TheJungleBook [Week 6] Fri 59 lacs, Sat 90 lacs, Sun 1.11 cr. Total: ₹ 179.57 cr nett. Gross: ₹ 249.41 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!"

The film, which features Indian-American actor Neel Sethi as the evergreen character of Mowgli, hit the Indian screens on Apr 8.

The film was released a week before it hit the silver screen in the US.
