Mumbai/IBNS: The teaser of '83', a biopic on India's first World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev, captured the moment of sealing victory in the tournament final way back in 1983.

The teaser gives glimpses of the famous edge-of-the seat match at Lord’s, London where Madan Lal bowled to Vivian Richards and Kapil Dev took the catch.

Kapil Dev is portrayed in the film by actor Ranveer Singh, who has gone under complete transformation to play the character on screen.

Singh's actress wife Deepika Padukone will be seen playing Romi Dev, who is the spouse of Kapil Dev, on screen.

Ending the wait, the makers will unveil the trailer of '83' on Nov 30.

The Kabir Khan directorial sports biography is slated for Dec 24 release.
