Sushmita Sen celebrates becoming Miss Universe 22 years ago

Mumbai, May 21 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen walked down the memory lane as she completed 22 years since becoming the first Miss Universe from Indian in 1994.

She called her achievement as an 'honour'.

Celebrating the moment, Sen tweeted: "#21stMay1994 #India won Miss Universe for d First time I thankGod 2 have given me d honour 2 bring it home!"

The Indian actress also thanked Colombian beauty Carolina Gomez. She was the first runner-up at the beauty pageant in 1994 when Sushmita Sen had won the crown.

"Here's lookin at U B'ful P'ple ...4 celebrating life 22yrs with me n ALWAYS Believing in beauty that runs deeper " she said.

Thanking Carolina Gomez, Sen said: "Thank you @carogomezfilm #MissColombia #1994 for teaching me what 'Grace' is!!!what a woman!! I love u Carolina!"
