Mumbai: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father has filed an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty in connection with the suicide of the Raabta actor.

Sushant commited suicide in his Mumbai residence in June.

His father KK Singh filed the FIR at Rajiv Nagar Police Thana in Patna.

Rhea and Sushant reportedly dated for a while before the actor committed suicide.

FIR has been lodged against Rhea Chakraborty and 5 others U/S 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of IPC.

Meanwhile, a four member Patna Police team reaches Mumbai for investigation into the matter.

Earlier this month, Rhea had requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of her actor boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput.

The death of Sushant had triggered a debate on social media with netizens calling out Bollywood biggies including Karan Johar, Salman Khan for allegedly encouraging nepotism and favouritism in the Hindi film industry, leading the onscreen MS Dhoni to commit suicide.

Sushant, who was undergoing mental depression in the last six months of his life, had reportedly lost a number of Bollywood projects in a few months' time.
