Mumbai, Mar 14 (IBNS): Actor Aamir Khan on Thursday turned 54 and fans and colleagues wished him on his birthday.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar wished him on Twitter with a witty tweet.

'Wishing my dear friend, @aamir_khan a very happy birthday! “A”, kya bolta tu?' wrote Sachin. "A" is a pun on the Aamir signing his tweets and "kya bolti tu" is the hit song from his 1998 film Ghulam.

"Thanks Sachin! Aata kya khandala ? Love. a," replied Aamir.

Aamir today cut a cake in front of reporters on the occasion of his birthday.

The actor's last film, Thugs of Hindostan, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh, was panned by critics and barely managed to recover its costs.
