Sumit Aroraa: Our audiences are mostly women, actually a majority of them are saas and bahus only
Mumbai: For Sumit Aroraa, the USP of Prateek Sharma's ( Studio LSD) Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan is that it is a beautiful love story that explores pure connection between two souls. He plays the role of Ajeet in the show.
“Not just the story but the characters of the show are well developed too. I think the audience always connects with strong characters better. They are also more receptive to relatable content,” he says.
There was a time when TV was all about saas-bahu sagas. Now, other genres are also explored.
Agreeing, Sumit adds, “Our audiences are mostly women, actually a majority of them are saas and bahus only. Every saas-bahu has their own story so saas bahu sagas had and still have that charm. But yes, people also enjoy other kinds of shows as well.”
The actor feels the content on TV has also evolved. “Nowadays we have a large audience, who are always ready to enjoy more content. All thanks to different GEC channels and OTT platforms, we have varied stories to explore and enjoy not just from India but frm foreign shores as well,” he says.
About the response the show is getting, Sumit adds, “We are blessed that we have such an amazing audience. They are enjoying our show and giving equal amounts of love to each and every character and that is a beautiful feeling.”
