Starmark, in association with Amara Muzik, hosts the music album launch of the film Kuheli

Kolkata, Oct 24 (IBNS): Starmark, in association with Amara Muzik, hosted the music album launch of the film Kuheli, recently at its South City Mall outlet in Kolkata.

Present at the music launch were eminent artists and musicians of the film, and the programme also included live performances and an interactive session.

Those present included music director Mainakk, and singers Kinjal, Timir and Ujjaini.

The director of the film, Debarati Gupta was also present along with actors Barun Chanda, Kaushik Sen, Indrasish Roy, and Pujarini Ghosh.

Before unveiling the album Kinjal, Ujjaini and  Mainakk sang a few songs from the film.

Amara Muzik, which entered the Bengali film music scene this year, was also associated with  Prakton, Saheb Bibi Golaam, Ludo and others.

Shankar Venkataraman of Amara Muzik stated: "In our endeavour to create a fast, exciting digital ecosystem in the Bengali music industry, associations with genre splitting and new age movies like Kuheli has come as a breath of fresh air with its exciting script and mellifluous music."

Debarati Gupta, the Director of Kuheli, said: "Each song has been specially crafted for the film. Ujjaini has sung a beautiful song. which is our tribute to Kolkata. Dolon and Kinjal have sung a romantic duet that has a terrific repeat value for its melody. There is a reprise solo version of the same by Kinjal. Timir lends his voice to a song which has a lot of pathos. All in all it’s a beautiful album where every song plays with the mood of the film."
