South Korean movie Parasite shines at Oscars, wins best picture

Los Angeles/IBNS: Creating history, South Korean movie Parasite emerged strongly at the Oscars as the film won the best picture award during the gala event on Sunday.

Parasite won four Oscars awards in total.

It emerged as the first foreign-language film to grab the top prize.

Sir Sam Mendes's 1917 settled with three awards.

In a remarkable comeback, actress Renee Zellweger clinched the best actress for her performance in Judy.

As was expected by his fans, Joaquin Phoenix won the best actor title for his memorable and hard-hitting performance in Joker.
