Sidharth Malhotra catching up on the Oscar nominated movies

Mumbai, Feb 17 (IBNS) Bollywood hunk Sidharth Malhotra is a movie buff and he tries to watch films as and when possible. With the Oscar fever building up he has been following films which have received nominations and has been making time to catch up with these films.

Sidharth recently wrapped up a strenuous schedule of Brothers.

With time at hand the actor has been catching up with films which he missed out on and especially the Oscar nominated films.

Sidharth is a cinema connoisseur. He likes to watch films whenever he gets time. The films which have entered the Oscar nominations have been widely acclaimed.

The actor has been on quite a film spree and has seen most of the films, so much so much that he has found his favorites too.

Sidharth personally is rooting for Birdman, and Whiplash as best picture.

While he yet has to watch some films he has been actively discussing films, performances, direction and various aspects of the films.

He has been very high on praise for actors like Michael Keaton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Julianne Moore and Rosamund Pike for their performances.

The young actor is planning to catch the Oscars live on television, even though it would be at an odd hour in India (around 5.30am).

Sidharth shares: "I am looking forward to the Oscars. There are some really good films which have been nominated and some really good performances as well. I have been on a movie marathon of sorts and have watched most of them."

He  adds: "I think Birdman is a fabulous film and is directed very well. Even Whiplash had been directed very well. There are also some stellar performances by Michael Keaton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike."
