Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali actors Vikram Chatterjee and Solanki Roy have featured in the Aritra Sen directorial Bengali film Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine, which was screened at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) in West Bengal film centre Nandan on Monday.

Vikram, who was present at the screening on Monday evening, shared his perspective of the film, which shares its title with a popular song from Indian rock band Moheener Ghoraguli.

Speaking of the film, Vikram said, "Kolkata is a very important character in Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine. The film is a reflection of how diverse Kolkata is ingrained in our lives."

"I literally spent my whole life in this city... Kolkata is my life," the actor added.

Vikram and Solanki starred opposite each other in the film following their massive success as an on-screen pair in Bengali daily soap Ichche Nodi.

"I am happy that we have been able to be a part of a complete romantic film as a pair.

"It's quite an achievement for a romantic on-screen pair to venture into films with a complete romantic story," Vikram said.

The 28th KIFF will continue till Dec 22.
