Saif Ali Khan stabbed: Son Ibrahim took bleeding actor to hospital in auto-rickshaw as car was not available
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed at his home by an intruder who sneaked into the place to rob, was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital in a bleeding condition by his son Ibrahim Ali Khan last night, media reports said.
Upon learning that no car was ready to leave, Ibrahim, as reports claimed, took Saif to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw, a three-wheeler.
Ibrahim, who is the son from Saif's first marriage, was joined by a caretaker to take the actor to the hospital which is two kilometers away.
Saif, 54, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 am, an hour after the incident occurred.
A video has emerged where Kareena was standing in casual clothes on the ground floor along with some others with an auto rickshaw waiting.
Saif, who was stabbed six times by an intruder at his home in Mumbai's posh Bandra area while he tried to resist a reported burglary attempt on Wednesday night, is now out of danger, doctors at Lilavati Hospital said.
"He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger," doctor Nitin Dange, Neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, said.
Saif, 54, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 am, an hour after the incident occurred.
The Mumbai Police said one accused has been identified.
"The accused took the staircase with an intent to rob Saif's home," said Dikshit Gedam, DCM, Zone 8, Mumbai Police.
Ten teams of Mumbai Police, who have recorded the actor's statement and also quizzed all househelps, are probing into the incident.
The actor had received injuries in neck, hand and close to the spinal cord.
The 54-year-old underwent surgery to treat the wound near the spinal cord and plastic surgeries for neck and hand injuries.
It is said that Saif was stabbed when he was having a fight with the suspect who sneaked into his home where the actor's family members, house help were also present.
