Mumbai, Sept 11 (IBNS): Rituparna Sengupta, one of Bengali Cinema's most popular actresses, will next be seen in Bauddhayan Mukherji's film 'Teenkahon' which hit the silver screen on Friday.

The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Sabyasachi Chakarborty and Suman Mukherjee, in lead roles.

Speaking about her role in the film, Rituparna says, "The role that I essay is that of Anamika Guha, the wife of an ACP of Kolkata Police. She appears to be a simpleton, doesn't really nurture ambitions but has her own share of the small joys of life. She wants to love and be loved. But her turbulent marriage meant life had other plans for her."

Rituparna also talks about working with debut director Bauddhayan Mukherji, she saID, "Bauddhayan knew exactly what he wanted and knew exactly how to get that out. Rarely have I seen such disciple on set. I loved Bauddhayan's 'sweet command' over his actors and unit members!"

Teenkahon is a film which, as a piece of social document, tries to capture the changing face of morality, the degeneration of values, the increasing pollution of the spoken language and the changing social fabric of Bengal through three stories. The film released in West Bengal on September 11, 2015.
