Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt wedding: Who wears what?

Mumbai/IBNS: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding guest list in Mumbai house-Vastu-included the couple's intimate friends and family who made sure to make heads turn with their grand appearances at the venue.

Putting rest to all speculations, the most awaited wedding took place in Mumbai on Thursday with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tying the nuptial knot in their 'favourite spot' and amidst the presence of their friends and family members.

Both Ranbir and Alia looked ethereal in paired white ensembles. While Alia donned a white saree, Ranbir complemented her in a white sherwani.

Designer Manish Malhotra, who didn't appear to be at the wedding, posted an inside picture of Ranbir's cousins Kareena and Karisma Kapoor and Alia's mentor Karan Johar. 

"My all time favourites forever," Manish Malhotra wrote.

While Kareena opted for a pink embroidered organza saree her elder sister Karisma wore a white saree teaming it up with an orange blouse.

Kareena has also picked a sequin potli bag to go with the outfit and kundan jewellery set.

Kareena's husband Saif Ali Khan also paired with his lady love appearing in a pink kurta with a white jacket.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar, who launched Alia in his film 'Student of The Year' wore a pink sherwani with a pagdi.

In a post for Ranbir, he wrote:  "You are now my son-in-law. " 

"It's days like this that we live for... Where there is the most beautiful blend of family, love and absolute emotion..... overwhelmed and so full of love in my heart... my darling Alia Batt, this is such a beautiful life step and my love and blessings go with you everywhere ... Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor opted for a colourful bandhani lehenga.

Her daughter and Ranbir's sister Riddhima Sahani appeared in golden shimmery ensemble.

She also posted the image of the Kapoor sisters who attended the wedding.

The ladkiwale included Alia's parents Mahesh Bhatt and Soni  Razdan and sisters Pooja and Shaheen Bhatt.

After the intimate wedding, Alia and Ranbir also stepped out for a photo session with the paparazzi stationed outside the venue.

The power couple dated for five years and will be soon seen pairing onscreen in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming film Brahmastra.

The couple's mehendi ceremony was attended by relatives and close friends including filmmaker Karan Johar on Wednesday.
