Raktabeej 2: Abir Chatterjee-Ankush Hazra faceoff overarches trailer of upcoming Bengali action-thriller

Kolkata/IBNS: The trailer of Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming Bengali film Raktabeej 2 featuring Victor Banerjee, Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Ankush Hazra was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday.

The film, which deals with India-Bangladesh cross-border terrorism, promises a rollercoaster of high-stakes action, gripping drama, and a poignant social message making it one of the most talked-about upcoming releases in Bengali cinema.

The ensemble cast also features Koushani Mukherjee, Kanchan Mullick, Anashuya Majumdar.

Actress Nusrat Jahan performs a dance number in the film, which is a sequel to the 2023 film Raktabeej.

More than just an action thriller, Raktabeej 2 explores the emotional and cultural bond between the West Bengal and Bangladesh and takes a stance against terrorism and divisiveness.

Sharing her experience Nandita Roy shared, “Raktabeej 2 is one of the biggest films we’ve made not just in terms of production, but in terms of expectations. Audiences today want more than just spectacle. They want meaning, depth, and relevance. This film is our answer to that call.” 

Shiboprosad Mukherjee added, “Our aim has always been to entertain while engaging the audience emotionally and intellectually. This film addresses a truth that is often lost in noise that terrorism knows no nationality. It’s about time we stop attaching labels and focus on standing united.”

The film is slated to release on September 26 coinding with Durga Puja celebrations.
