Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra joins hands with YUVA Unstoppable and felicitates true heroes

Mumbai, Aug 9 (IBNS): Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was present at an event for the Yuva Unstoppable NGO at Thane recently.

The filmmaker has been associated with YUVA since past two years for the cause of building toilets in municipal schools in various parts of India.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra along with YUVA Unstoppable have taken a humble step towards transforming the reality of India.

The renowned film maker has joined hands with the NGO YUVA Unstoppable and mentoring their special initiative to ensure clean sanitation facilities in addition to available education facilities for the underprivileged kids of the society. 

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra felicitated 'True Heroes' and their efforts for their outstanding contribution to the society at Thane municipal corporation school.

Together they strive to provide a clean learning environment to these budding and aspiring young kids.

Mehra witnessed a sense of support from many young and inspiring people present there. 

The filmmaker also shared few of the instances that he came across and how it affected him.

The main agenda of the association is to spread smiles.

On Oct 2, 2013 a campaign called “Evolution” was launched.

This campaign has simple aim- Clean and Green Schools for all. So far, with the help of more than 75 top corporate (Torrent, Microsoft, Intel, Coca-Cola, Adani, Binani, etc) there has been 400 government schools transformed (digital literacy, better toilets, improved drinking water, scholarships, etc) across India.
