Mumbai, July 28 (IBNS): After creating history in Bollywood with PK collecting record breaking numbers, the film is all set to release in Japan now.

The film collected Rs. 342 crore in India.

Ace director Rajkumar Hirani has already headed to the country for the release of his film.

This is the first time Hirani would be visiting the land of the rising Sun.

The Japanese market is not very big with Indian films usually and so there are only a handful of films that have been released there.

Only the big ticket and super successful films like Dhoom 3, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag etc have released in the Japanese market.

Rajkumar Hirani’s last film, 3 idiots had also released in Japan. It not just released there, but also did fantastic business.

The director received a lot of praise and appreciation from the audiences there and the film also gave Rajkumar Hirani added fan following.

Rajkumar Hirani shares, "After the overwhelming response that 3 Idiots received in Japan, I am even more excited to take PK there. I am looking forward to the audience's reactions to the film and hope they love this one too."

On being asked if he is looking at any collaboration, he adds: “I'm going to meet some contemporary film makers and actors from Japan and am looking forward to it. Have no plans of collaborations yet.”

Now his fans there cannot wait for the release of his next release after all these years. There is a lot of anticipation and excitement among all his fans and cine goers there.
