Rajkumar Hirani feels nostalgic about the release date of PK

Mumbai, Dec 19 (IBNS) Director Rajkumar Hirani got nostalgic on Friday with the release of his latest film PK as his first movie, Munnabhai M.B.B.S., was also released on the same day, 11 years ago.

Munnabhai M.B.B.S. released on Dec 19, 2003.

The director got emotional as he remembered where he started his journey as a director, many years ago.

After delivering three successful hits; Munnabhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnabhai and 3 Idiots, Rajkumar Hirani is now back with 'PK'.

He started out as a director with the first installment of Munnabhai and after that there has been no looking back.

All his films have been loved by the audiences and PK has been greatly anticipated.

Positive reviews and congratulatory messages have been pouring in from all quarters for the director for PK.

Actors Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma are playing the lead roles in the film which hit the silver screen on Friday.

Meanwhile, the film has already been appreciated by the Bollywood fraternity.

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur tweeted: "Finally a Hindi film where people r talking about quality of film rather than box office numbers. Thank you @aamir_khan @RajkumarHirani #pk."

Director Karan Johar said: "PK is hilarious and emotional in equal measure...it's a game changing film....Kudos to the team!!! @AnushkaSharma you were superb!!!"

Actor Atul Kulkarni said: "PK. Bravo! An entertaining statement which requires guts to make and open mind to see. Laugh at yourselves and the others ; think for all:)"

Actress Sonam Kapoor tweeted: "It's in an honour to be working in the same industry as raju hirani.. Can't get over p.k... Woken up with the movie still on my mind.."

Actor Hrithik Roshan said: "Have u guys seen #PK yet?? If not do something amazing 4 urselves n go watch it NOW. I can't wait myself!."

Southern star Dhanush tweeted: "Raju hirani sir's PK is a master piece.PERIOD.i cant find enough words to express this overwhelming emotional experience .100 stars out of 5."
