Jamnagar/IBNS: Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who are expecting their first child, arrived at Jamnagar, Gujarat on Thursday to attend the pre-wedding festivities of India's billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani and his fiance Radhika Merchant.

Several of the couple's fans and admirers congratulated them when they arrived in Jamnagar.

Confirming the speculation of Deepika being pregnant triggered after her BAFTA appearance, the couple said on social media on Thursday that they are set to welcome their first child in September 2024.

Deepika, now 38, got married to Ranveer in 2018 after several years of dating.

Speaking on children to Vogue Singapore, Deepika earlier said the couple love children.

In the interview published in January 2024, she said, "Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family."

Meanwhile, the Ambani family has kept the 'Anna Seva' ceremony as a part of pre-wedding festivities, a practice followed by them traditionally.

Through the ceremony, they seek blessings from the local communities serving them traditional Gujarati cuisine.
