'Mumbai, Aug 5 (IBNS): Pernia Qureshi, who's awaiting the release of her big Bollywood debut, Muzaffar Ali's Jaanisaar, has launched an ethnic clothing line inspired by the movie characters and their look.
The collection, which will be sold exclusively on Pernia’s website www.perniaspopupshop.com, will feature clothing as well as accessories inspired by the movie. The Jaanisaar collection comes from the producer-designer Meera Ali from House of Kotwara. The price range of the collection is Rs 20,000 to Rs 1,00,000.

Pernia, who’s known for styling Sonam Kapoor among other popular B-town celebs, will be seen playing a courtesan in her upcoming period drama, Jaanisaar set in the 1800s.

The gorgeous actress, who already has a fashion website called ‘Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop’, has launched the clothing line showcasing ethnic wear including anarkalis and shararas which has been inspired by her character’s look from Jaanisaar.

The e-magazine of Pernia’s Pop Up Shop for the month of August called the ‘Royal Issue’ features the talented actor on the cover and the cover story takes inspiration from her character Noor in a beautiful collection from the movie’s costume designers, House of Kotwara.

Keeping up with the royal theme the magazine decodes style secrets of some of the most fashion queens of the history in Style Spotlight.

Pernia informs, “I’m extremely glad to be part of Jaanisaar that beautifully showcases our culture, costumes, music and poetry of the pre-Independence era. Since it’s a period drama, special emphasis has been given to the costumes. Being a designer, the thought to come up with a clothing line based on the movie characters just hit me.

Those interested can visit my website and shop for their favourite outfits.”

Produced by Kotwara Studio's, Meera Ali and directed by Muzaffar Ali, Jaanisaar starring Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas is scheduled to release August 7, 2015.
