Pariah starring Vikram Chatterjee, Angana Roy, Soumya Mukherjee to premiere on Hoichoi on July 12

Kolkata/IBNS: Filmmaker Tathagata Mukherjee's action-packed film Pariah, which deals with the atrocities street dogs face, is set to get its digital premiere on Hoichoi on July 12.

The film, which features Vikram Chatterjee, Angana Roy, Soumya Mukherjee, Sreelekha Mitra in the lead, was released in theatres on February 9, 2024.

The film revolves around a man, whose unconditional love for stray dogs leads him to protect them, often turning violent.

Vikram undergoes physical transformation for the film, which is packed with action.

Speaking at the press conference held in the city for the digital release, Vikram said, "I am thankful to Tathagata Mukherjee for casting me in such a film. I thank Hoichoi for the digital release of the film."

The film depicts the life of Pariah, his background, his loneliness, his highs and lows and eventually his journey towards becoming a messiah for the pariah dogs.

Angana, who made her theatrical debut with Pariah, says, "The rehearsal process for the role was very interesting for me. I have gone through such a rigorous process for any role."

Highlighting the issue of his film, Tathagata Mukherjee said, "Pariah is an action film but it talks about the street dogs and the atrocities they face. I have tried to give them justice through my work."
