Pamela Anderson joins “Baywatch” movie

Los Angeles, Apr 22 (IBNS): Actress Pamela Anderson, who had played the character of C.J. Parker on the original television series, will appear in the “Baywatch” film revival.

Anderson had become a household name following her performance in the TV series.

Actor  Dwayne Johnson announced that Anderson will appear in the movie which will also feature Indian beauty Priyanka Chopra.

In an Instagram post, where Dwayne Johnson is seen standing beside Anderson, the wrestler-turned-actor wrote along with the picture: "She introduced the world to "CJ Parker" and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation - for the most successful TV show of all time."

"A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our#BAYWATCH cast. We couldn't have made this movie without you.
Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!" Dwayne Johnson said.

According to reports, model Kelly Rohrbach is portraying the role of Parker in the movie.

 The details of the character Pamela Anderson will play in the movie is still not known.

The movie will hit the silver screen on May 19, 2017.
