Neeraj Pandey directs his first short film

Mumbai, Oct 26 (IBNS): Director Neeraj Pandey has now released a short film titled 'Ouch' starring Manoj Bajpayee and Pooja Chopra in the lead role.

The very versatile actor Manoj and the former Miss India Pooja has done full justice to their characters and have blunged into it.

It is a humorous film but has a real take on ethics and whats the right way.

The time span of the short film is 15 mins and both the identities (Vinay and Priya) have made the audience fall in love with the short film as they have blend into their roles.

Just like the title, the script of the film too is very unique and definitely director Neeraj Pandey has chosen an interesting pairing for the characters to be played.

After achieving immense success for M.S Dhoni -The Untold story, Neeraj who has made a short film for the very first time seems like to have a towering response for his work and certainly seems like it was a cake walk for the director.

The short film is about how Vinay and Priya who are in love since 3 years and their passion has brought them to a point where they have to take a call on their relationship status and thats when Vinay gets hit with an 'Ouch' moment.

Neeraj Pandey's 'Ouch' was premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival, a forum that's known for showcasing the best of films in front of a demanding audience. It sure is an achievement in itself for the director as his first short film was premiered at the JioMAMI film festival.

The director seems to have a great start to his new endeavor and the audience undoubtedly are looking forward to more such short films.

Neeraj said while talking about his film,  “The story of Ouch is an amalgamation of human emotions and feelings. As the story unfolds, it is interesting to see what a man and woman who are having an affair outside of their marriages do or not do to be with each other. I approached the story with a contemporary Indian outlook and the way Manoj and Pooja have brought the sentiments alive through their characters, it is commendable."

"As a filmmaker, it is very important to be able to showcase your work freely and I believe Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films is a great platform that lets you be as creative as possible,” said he.

Actress Pooja Chopra said, "To work with Neeraj Pandey had been a wish I had been living with for a while now as I was to work with him on Baby but somehow unfortunately that didn't fall into place at the 11th hour, and this one came up.. there wasn't anyway I would have missed out on this one. I've always admired his body of work and now more so after working with him I have immense respect and admiration for him as a film maker and more so as a person"


Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films’ has delivered many short films and now they had a come back with Neeraj Pandey's "Ouch".
