Lesle Lewis performs at IIMUN Kolkata Chapter
Kolkata, Dec 12 (IBNS): Singer-performer-composer and guitarist par excellence Lesle Lewis, enthralled the audiences with his captivating performance at the opening ceremony of the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) Kolkata Chapter held on Thursday at South City International School in Kolkata's Jadavpur area.
Lesle Lewis’ performance included a wide variety of songs like his own rock version conveying the message of peace and songs from his own album and many others.
The audience mostly included students from schools and colleges.
Lesley Lewis and his band electrified the audience with their performance.
The inauguration ceremony also witnessed the presence of West Bengal's Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of Ambuja Group; Arpita Ghosh, Member of Parliament; Rishabh Shah, Founder President of IIMUN; Saran Singh Mokha, Director General of IIMUN, Kolkata; Niyati Mandhyan, Secretary General of IIMUN, Jalandhar and many others attending the event.
Rishabh Shah, Founder President of IIMUN said, “IIMUN is an organization of the youth, by the youth and for the youth. Managed and run by a bunch of students from the age group of 16-20 years. The purpose of organizing IIMUN Chapters is to increase awareness amongst students about International Relations, Geo-political scenario and teach them more about the United Nations. Over the past year, IIMUN embarked on a journey to spread the message of the UN to 12 cities across the country. Committees were simulated in local languages, Hindi and with different variations as to ensure that we reached to as many as people possible. IIMUN is proud to have reached a cumulative participation of over 15,000 students in these chapters.”
Lesle Lewis, Bollywood Singer-Composer, Best known for his work in Colonial Cousins on this occasion said, “IIMUN creates the required system that acts as a pedestal to launch the interests of today’s youth. I feel honored to be a part of this organization and performing here in front of so many students.”
