Karuppu storms box office! Vijay sends special message as Suriya-Trisha film eyes Rs 100 crore

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has congratulated the makers of Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, as the film races towards the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office.

Sharing the update on X, the makers wrote: “We are overjoyed to share that our Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Joseph Vijay, has extended his heartfelt wishes and congratulations to our producer @prabhu_sr for the grand success of THE ONE @Suriya_offl’s #Karuppu.

“It is truly wonderful and heartwarming for our entire team to receive his wishes.”

Directed by RJ Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Karuppu has emerged as one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year.

The film also marks the on-screen reunion of Suriya and Trisha after nearly two decades.

According to Sacnilk, the film opened with collections of over Rs. 15 crore and has already crossed Rs. 82 crore within four days of its theatrical release.
