Karan Johar lauds 'Gadar 2', says 'it has blown everyone's brains away...'

Mumbai/IBNS: Celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar, who is basking in the success of his comeback film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', has lauded Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer 'Gadar 2', which has stormed the box office.

Speaking at an event of The Indian Express, Karan said, "Gadar has blown everyone's brains away because it was a film which was hugely successful in 2001, and now in 2023, it is breaking every record."

"I have been so glad for the single screens," he added.

'Gadar 2', a period action drama film which is directed and produced by Anil Sharma, is all set to enter the 400-crore club.

With impressive returns over the last weekend, the film's box office collection in the domestic market has improved to Rs. 388.60 crore. 

In 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprised their roles from the first film ('Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'), which was released in theatre houses in 2001.
