Mumbai/Manali/IBNS: Indian actress Kangana Ranaut on Saturday wondered how a particular "intolerant" religion is growing fastest in the world, in her response to the beheading of a teacher in Paris for showing a caricature of founder of Islam Prophet Muhammad to his students.

Ranaut has said in a series of tweets, "I get really baffled a religion so intolerant to criticism and scrutiny absolutely male centric does not worship women, animals, plants or environment yet in today’s times it’s the fastest growing religion and also gets defended by the intellectuals, How come ???"

"A teacher is beheaded for a caricature, we can only imagine what those invaders must have done to our people during invasion, in today’s digital age with education and exposure they act like demons what they must have done to Bharat when they were Nomads?" (sic)

After the History teacher had shown the caricature to his students, he was beheaded outside a school in the western suburb of French capital Paris.

His assailant was shot dead by police while trying to arrest the accused.

French President Emmanuel Macron has termed the incident as "Islamist terrorist attack" and urged his country to stand against extremism.

Actor Swara Bhasker condemned the incident in a tweet which reads, "HORRIFYING! What monstrosity makes people do this barbaric stuff. Speechless with shock. Remember if you think ur God wants u to kill in his name- START WITH YOUR EFFIN’ SELF!"

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, "'Anyone who hurts a teacher is the biggest sinner' - Indian Values. 'Anyone who hurts the teacher is the biggest winner” - Islamist values. The real difference.'"
