The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival's International jury’s Acting Prizes went to Eddie Redmayne for his performance in The Theory of Everything and Kalki Koechlin for her role in Margarita, With a Straw.
Kalki who saw Eddie’s film could relate to the kind of hard work the actor has put into playing this kind of intense role. When Eddie saw a glimpse of Margarita, with a Straw he was extremely pleased with Kalki and keen to meet her too.
They missed out on seeing each other at Toronto, London, Bhutan and Antonia because of their schedules. Both wanted to catch up with each other.
Kalki shares, "I was really hoping to meet Eddie Redmayne personally to congratulate and talk to him about his performance. I watched Theory of everything and absolutely loved it."
She further shares, "A lot of people compared our films at festivals and felt that they are similar in vibe. While I don't think that's true I was keen to meet and talk to him about the process, but it just did not work out. "
