Mumbai, Apr 22 (IBNS) ‘Kaanchi’ - filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s comeback to Bollywood, is all set to release this Friday. It’s been five years since the Showman’s last directorial Yuvvraaj which didn’t fare too well at the Box Office.

Ghai has gone all out to promote the film -  from an elaborate music launch attended by the who’s who of the film industry to touring the country and even Dubai for press meets.

Ghai has been working on perfecting the film - from finding the right ‘Kaanchi’ after auditioning around 300 girls, to getting the music just right, and even using Auro 3D 11.1 Sound Technology- a first for a Bollywood film.

The film stars newcomer Mishti and Kartik Aaryan (Pyar Ka Punchnama) in the lead roles with Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty playing crucial roles.

‘Kaanchi’ is the story of the inner power of a woman who represents millions of suppressed youth against unjust in the country. Though not planned, the film’s release during the current election atmosphere will surely catch people’s attention.

‘Revolver Rani’ with Kangana Ranaut  and Vir Das in the lead roles is a satirical and unusual love story set against the backdrop of politics.

Both films with storylines on love and politics releasing this Friday will battle it out at the box office.
