Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor John Abraham has announced that he will be producing a biopic on social entrepreneur Revathi Roy.

Abraham is collaborating with Robbie Grewal and Anil Bohra to produce the biopic.

The title of the film is yet to be decided.

Speaking about the film, which will be directed by Grewal, Abraham tweeted, " Very happy to have @revathi_roy on board; her story flips the ‘rags to riches’ adage in a compelling way. A truly eventful & inspiring life that has empowered so many women in India. I can’t think of anyone better than Robbie to helm this dramatic yet delicately balanced film."

Roy is an entrepreneur who has been working towards empowering urban poor women since 2007.

The biopic is presently in pre-production stage.
