Mumbai, Apr 25 (IBNS): After charming Bollywood with her beauty and talent, the gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez is all set to leave her mark in the Sri Lankan industry as well.

The pretty lady is to make her Sri Lankan debut in 'According To Matthew' where she plays the mistress of a murderous pastor.

The film, directed by Chandran Rutnam is a thriller based on the life of Rev.

Mathew Pieris, an Anglican pastor in Colombo who was convicted of the double murder of his wife and the husband of his lover.

Director Chandran said, “She's got the strut. When we're filming a particular shot, she moves and everything around her falls into place. I have already written another film in which Jacqueline is my heroine."

Jacqueline has also just wrapped up shooting for her first Hollywood project, 'Definition Of Fear' and will be seen romancing Australian singer-songwriter Alston Koch in 'According To Matthew'.

“On the first day of the shoot, I thought she'd never be able to pull off the role. But as we kept shooting I saw how vulnerable she was. She didn't have a starry attitude,” a highly impressed Chandran said and also added, “Once we set the mood of the story, Jacky knew what was required. But she was also quirky and experimented with her lines."

The film is slated to release in the UK and USA in July.

“The film is set to propel Jacky to that elusive group of serious actors in the English language category. The second film's plot will also be just as thrilling. Unlike, 'According To Matthew', my next film will release in both Hindi and English," Chandran said.

On the other hand, the gorgeous actress is just hopeful that her film is able to draw audiences to the theatre.

She said, “Bollywood dominates theatres in Sri Lanka but I hope that changes soon.”
