India will remain incredible: Aamir Khan on his removal as tourism promotion face

Mumbai, Jan 7 (IBNS) After news of actor Aamir Khan being removed as the brand ambassador for Incredible India surfaced yesterday, the actor on Thursday said that it hardly matters if he or anyone else plays that part as the country will still remain Incredible irrespective of anything, according to reports.
Aamir was quoted by TOI as saying, "Whether I am brand ambassador or not, India will remain Incredible, and that's the way it should be."

The actor also said that it was solely the government's decision to make, if they wanted someone for the campaign.

He also said that he has done the campaign films free of costs.

Aamir said, "It is always an honour for me to be of service of my country, and this is how it will always be."

Last year, Aamir was involved in a huge public debate after he said that he and his wife were scared of the growing intolerance in India and even considered leaving the country. 
 
This statement of him drew flak from most people, who taunted him for the Incredible India campaign, calling him a hypocrite.
