Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film star Mimi Chakraborty starrer upcoming web series Dainee was announced by OTT platform Hoichoi with a thrilling video on Friday.

Slated to be released on March 14, Dainee tells a harrowing survival story of two sisters, Pata and Lata.

The announcement video opens with a dramatic shot where Pata, played by Mimi Chakraborty, lies on the floor—bruised, broken, and defeated—her mind drifting back to childhood memories with her sister, Lata.

They were never too close, but now, nothing matters except survival. It’s them against the world and Pata will fight tooth and nail to protect Lata.

As Pata says, if anyone even dares to raise their eye on Lata, “Tandav Hobe!” She will burn down anything that threatens her sister.

Dainee is a tale of sisterhood, survival, and superstition. It marks director Nirjhar Mitra’s first collaboration with Hoichoi and the much-awaited return of Mimi Chakraborty to the platform.

Pata and Lata are set to take the audience on a gripping journey, confronting the hidden horrors of society, where those who claim to protect are often the ones who prey on the weak.
