Hoichoi announces new content slate; Chiranjit Chakraborty, Debasree Roy, Mimi Chakraborty set for OTT debut

Kolkata/IBNS: Tollywood veterans Chiranjit Chakraborty, Debasree Roy and actress-MP Mimi Chakraborty are set for their OTT debut with Hoichoi, which has now announced its new content slate for the seventh season. 

Hoichoi has announced 24 shows including 13 new and 11 sequels.

While Chiranjit Chakraborty will feature in Parambrata Chattopadhyay directorial 'Parnashavarir Shaap', Debasree Roy will make her web venture with 'Chemistry Mashi'.

Mimi will team up with Tota Roy Choudhury in her OTT debut for a web series titled 'Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo', which will be directed by Chandrasish Ray. 

Among the sequels are 'Indu 3', 'Gobhir Joler Maach 2', 'Noshtoneer 2', 'Dakghor 2', 'Gora 3', 'Bodhon 2', 'Sampurna 2', 'Nikhoj 2'.

Reminiscing about the journey of Hoichoi over the past 6 years, Vishnu Mohta, co- founder of the OTT platform, said, "It’s been an extremely enriching and monumental six years. The love we have received from our audiences has been massive and we are extremely grateful for it.

"Hoichoi has always aimed to provide high quality entertainment to Bengalis across the globe and have an approach that makes our customers the crux of our journey."

Adding to this, Soumya Mukherjee, COO, Hoichoi added, "The past six years have been an incredible journey for us. We started as the first vernacular OTT platform in India, aiming to entertain Bengalis worldwide in their native language.

"Over time, we've successfully achieved this by producing over 140 Bengali shows with top creators from not only India but Bangladesh and curating a collection of over 600 films for users around the world to enjoy."
