First superhero Marathi film starring Shreyas Talpade to release early 2015
Directed by Nikhil Mahajan of Pune 52 fame the movie, which is one of 2015’s most anticipated films also has popular Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar as the leading lady. The film also marks Shreyas’s come back into Marathi cinema after a gap of 7 years.
Driven by the high anticipation, producers also announced that they would be launching the first teaser of ‘Baji’ with Shreyas Talpade’s upcoming home production ‘Poshter Boyz’ which is slated for a 1st Aug 2014 release.
Shot across picturesque Konkan locales, Baji is an action-adventure-romance laced superhero vigilante film that transcends both folklore and present day. It is based on the legend of a man who took upon himself to protect the common man against oppression and injustice. His sword, his bow-arrow and his white stallion live on to define him.
Presented by DAR Motion Pictures, Baji is produced by Arun Rangachari, Vivek Rangachari, Amit Ahirrao, Suhrud Godbole, Hrishikesh Kulkarni and Nikhil Mahajan.
