Mumbai/ IBNS: Filmmaker and Yash Raj Films (YRF) top boss Aditya Chopra on Saturday recorded his statement with Mumbai Police in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death last month, said media reports.

Aditya Chopra gave his statement to Bandra police at the Versova police station where he was questioned for four hours, the reports added.

Police sought information pertaining to a contract signed by Rajput and YRF from Chopra.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on June 14. Though no suicide note was recovered from the spot, there has been a huge public outrage over his death with many alleging that professional rivalry played a major trigger behind his suicide.

Reports said police are also trying to understand the conditions that led Rajput to end his contract with YRF.

Police have already recorded the statement of YRF's casting director Shanoo Sharma.

So far, police have taken the statements of 34 people, including Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, co-actor Sanjana Sanghi and his family members.

On Sunday, Rhea Chakraborty demanded a CBI probe into Rajput's death in a social media post in which she tagged UnionHome Minister Amit Shah.

However, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has ruled out a CBI probe, asserting that the state police is capable enough to investigate the case.
