Farah Khan's YouTube earnings surpass her film career? Here's what she revealed

Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan has turned her YouTube vlogs into a massive hit, with her cook, Dilip, also becoming a fan favourite.

In a candid chat with Soha Ali Khan on her podcast, Farah revealed that her digital earnings have outstripped her film career.
“In my entire career, maybe in a year, I have not made so much money, even though I have directed so many films,” she said.
She also appreciated the creative freedom vlogging offers. “No OTT platform or production house is telling me what to cut, no TV channel is deciding which guest is ‘A-list’ or ‘tacky’. I used to hate that.”

Farah, who hasn’t directed a film in 11 years since Happy New Year, started her YouTube channel in April 2024 with cooking vlogs featuring herself and Dilip.
The content quickly struck a chord with viewers, attracting millions of subscribers.

She now has nearly three million subscribers on YouTube and 4.5 million followers on Instagram, and has already received her Silver Play Button.

On another talk show, Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, the 60-year-old shared her motivation for becoming a content creator: a desire to explore her love for food and connect with audiences on her own terms, while also supporting her three children’s education.
