Dunki: Shah Rukh Khan's fans go berserk as superstar's third film of the year releases

Contrary to the customary Friday release, the film opened to theatres on Thursday, that too as early as 5:55 am.

Like his previous two massively hit releases, 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan', Shah Rukh's fans flocked to the theatres in large numbers celebrating the 58-year-old actor's third outing since his stormy comeback in January 2023.

One X user with name Yash posted, "DUNKI IS HISTORIC. Raju Hirani's best work till date, even surpasses 3 Idiots.

"This movie will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Shah Rukh Khan has nailed the character of Hardy in every way, be it his comic timing, action scenes or the emotional ones."

'Dunki', which co-stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, tells a story of a group of friends taking a bid to reach another country through backdoor and face a struggle in returning home.

Hirani, a prominent filmmaker, is mostly remembered for his films 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.', '3 Idiots', 'PK', 'Sanju' et al.
