Mumbai/IBNS: Actress Disha Patani has created quite a chatter point on social media with her appearance in the Kalki 2898 AD trailer, which was dropped by the makers a few days ago.

Now on her birthday, the makers on Thursday revealed her character- titled Roxie- on social media.

The makers wrote on Instagram, "Wishing our Roxie, @dishapatani a very Happy Birthday."

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan along with Disha in the lead.

The film's timeline will commence with Indian epic Mahabharata and merge with 2989 AD.

Speaking of the film, Ashwin had said as quoted by News 18, "The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner.

"The film begins 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed."

The film is slated to release on June 27.
