Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s first big Diwali release Thamma has entered the 100 crore club.

Thamma now stands at 103.50 crore (India net box office,) while his other 100 crore hits are Dream Girl (142.26 crore), Dream Girl 2 (104.90 crore), Badhaai Ho (137.61 crore) and Bala (116.81 crore).

With this feat, Ayushmann has also scripted history as the young actor who has started the maximum number of franchises in Bollywood history.

Ayushmann is known for having set up several franchises with unique, fresh content like Dream Girl, Badhaai Ho, Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, Thamma and Andhadhun whose ending promised a hugely awaited sequel.

Ayushmann says, "Commercial success is huge validation for an actor. To have tasted success with my brand of cinema feels incredibly special because I truly love fresh and unique content. As an audience, I relate to this kind of content the most. So, to see people enjoy, endorse and recommend such cinema, is truly an incredible experience for an entertainer like me.

"I’m thrilled that so many of my films have become successful franchises. I’m truly fortunate for the love that people have showered on my films and my craft."

Apart from Ayushmann, Thamma, which is directed by Aditya Sarpodkar, is headlined by Rashmika Mandanna, Nawaduddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal.
