Mumbai/IBNS: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah, is scheduled to release in theatres on June 12, 2026.

Produced by Applause Social and Window Seat Films, the movie has been described by the makers as a “charming story of love and longing.”

It is expected to feature a contemporary, witty, and emotionally rich tone, in line with Ali’s signature directorial style.

The project also marks the reunion of the celebrated trio: A. R. Rahman (music), Irshad Kamil (lyrics), and Imtiaz Ali (director), the team behind acclaimed hits such as Rockstar and Tamasha.

Imtiaz Ali’s previous film, My Melbourne, was released last year.

The filmmaker had also collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh in the 2024 film Amar Singh Chamkila, a biopic based on the life of the legendary musician.
