Bollywood singer Nakash Aziz sings the Marathi anthem for 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams'
Nakash has sung a Marathi track for the movie which is composed by A.R. Rahman.
It’s a Marathi version of song ‘Sachin Sachin’ which is sung my national award winning singer, Sukhwinder Singh in Hindi.
Interestingly, Nakash had re recorded this Marathi song in Bali as legendary composer A.R. Rahman wanted to record few portions of it again.
“Nakash had recorded this song and post that went to Bali to fulfil his work commitments. There he got a call from AR Rahmans team and was told that they are few portions in the song which needed to be recorded immediately. Being a thorough professional that he is, Nakash readily agreed to this and searched and booked a recording studio in Bali and re recorded those portions of the song and submitted it to A.R. Rahman,” informs a source.
Commenting on the same, Nakash says “ I had recorded the song few days prior to my Bali trip but Rahman sir wanted to re record few portions and that too immediately. I searched a lot and finally found a studio there and I recorded it again. It was a fun experience while recording the song and it’s for non other then the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. I got goose bumps while singing that track and I feel lucky to be associated with this film as I am a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar and to be a voice of AR Rahman’s composition was a cherry on the cake.”
This is the not first time that multilingual singer Nakash is associated with a Marathi track.
Previously Nakash has composed music for Marathi film ‘No Entry – Pudhe Dhoka Ahey’.
After making a mark in the music industry in South, Nakash is now all set to wow the Marathi and Gujarati audiences.
Nakash has also received great appreciation for his song 'Aai jyo' from the recently released Gujarati film 'Karsandas pay & use'.
